Arsenal fans have been mocking Tottenham in the centre of the Spanish capital as they prepare for their clash with Real Madrid. The Gunners are in pole position to qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Defeat in Germany will spell the end of their season whilst Arsenal hope that the result at the Bernabeu will see them progress to the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2009. Arteta insists his side will head to Spain looking to complete the task - and they'll be looking to win on the night.

He said on the emotion of the game: "I understand that. It's part of [Madrid's] history, and they have earned the right to be talking about these kinds of scenarios. Ours is very different in our mindset, preparation and our thoughts, and how we're going to have the best chance to be better than them in the aspects that are crucial in the game, because they want to take the game to places very different to our intentions, and if we do that we'll have a good chance to win the game."
Real meanwhile have continued to talk up a potential comeback. In 2022 and 2024 they managed to overcome the odds against Manchester City and Bayern Munich, scoring late goals to ensure progression with Jude Bellingham underlining the belief.
He said: "There's an expectation from Real Madrid that when we get into these kind of holes we can come back, even if it's a really tough one, a really difficult one."
